In order to build an ecosystem of medical devices, explore the frontiers, form a professional platform for communication, and seek solutions, the 2019 Global Device Week (hereinafter referred to as GDW 2019) was held in Suzhou Industrial Park from September 5th to 7th, 2019. During the GDW 2019, three theme forums and nearly 20 sub-forums were held. Theme forums include 2019 China Medical Device Summit Forum (hereinafter referred to as Device China 2019), 2019 China International Medical Device Innovation Forum (hereinafter referred to as CMIF 2019), and 2019 China Medical Device Translation Medicine and Innovation Service Forum (hereinafter referred to as TMIS 2019).

Technology, driven by data fundamentally, ignores the necessity of domain knowledge. Doctor plays the role as data labeling worker without taking professional knowledge into full play. Taking the uniqueness of medical science into consideration, roles and relations of two parts should be re-examined. Doctors need to take part in algorithm development and their knowledge should be involved in algorithm design.

On August 24, 2018, Philips held "The First Product Launch of IntelliSpace Medical Imaging Artificial Intelligence Platform" in the first Bethune hospital of Jilin University, and also supported the “Medical Imaging Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Forum”. June 29-July 1, 2018, The 9th Chinese National Conference of Nasopharyngeal Cancer was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This conference is hosted by the China Anti-Cancer Association Nasopharyngeal Professional Committee and Sichuan Anti-Cancer Association, and organized by the Cancer Hospital Affiliate to School of Medicine, UESTC·Sichuan Cancer Hospital and the Nasopharyngeal Committee of the Sichuan Anti-Cancer Association. More than 600 experts and scholars from various provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Europe participated in this academic conference to discuss the hot issues in the diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma such as clinical staging, standardized treatment, radio physics and so on. PVmed demonstrated the automatic delineation system for nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy and other AI technologies and products.

On December 15, 2017, PVmed and Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Science held the opening ceremony of the “Joint Laboratory of Medical Imaging Intelligent Diagnosis” at Pudong campus. Gang Huang, president of Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Science, Daofang Zhang, vice president, Peizhong He, dean of the School of Medical Imaging, Yao Lu, president of PVmed, Sean Shen, CEO of PVmed attended the opening ceremony. PVmed and Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Science will develop extensive and comprehensive strategic cooperation of scientific research, database construction, team building, and talent training in the area of medical image intelligent analysis and medical big data analysis.

On December 1, 2017, the 2017 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), which is known as the best annual global radiology conference, ended in Chicago. Philips released a revolutionary artificial intelligence platform IntelliSpace Discovery 2.0 (ISD2.0). As the only AI partner of the platform, PVmed had attracted great attention from the industry. Its CT/MRI-based automatic delineation system for nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy has been embedded in the ISD platform.
