PVmed has deployed the system in 25 provinces across China in a better domestic context.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, China has adopted strict, comprehensive, and thorough measures to promote progress in prevention and control. The emergence of more and more "0" case is definitely the best evidence of proactive policies made by China.

Faced with highly contagious coronavirus, the protection is the first line of defense to control the epidemic. In this way, determining detection measures is favorable to make the trace of “enemy” exposed.
It is well accepted that the imaging examination provides a very important reference in COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment. In the Guidelines on the Novel Coronavirus-Infected Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment, “suspected case with pneumonia imaging characteristics” identifies as the clinical criterion. The result of imaging examinations plays a vital role in early screening prevention and control and the entire clinical evaluation during the front-line fight against the epidemic for medical institutes.
Deployed through cloud platform, PVmed’s COVID-19 Radiograph Reading System is installed in anti-epidemic hospitals with multiple equipment manufacturers in various ways, including “software-equipped hardware”.
For now, the system has been taken into practice in 25 provinces across China, assisting doctors in COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment.

PVmed AI technology facilitates COVID-19 imaging screening
It is urgent to establish a more accurate and efficient AI imaging diagnosis during the critical period of epidemic prevention and control, which can undoubtedly relieve the fatigue and high pressure of the first-line doctors and help them achieve more effective diagnosis and evaluation.
PVmed's AI Radiograph Reading System greatly improves the efficiency of radiograph reading, realizing a positive effect of AI-assisted “scientific + clinical research”.

Sci-tech strength boosts COVID-19 prevention and control.
PVmed's AI Radiograph Reading System quickly detects various signs of different types of pneumonia, and increases the detection rate of similar signs with COVID-19, especially for local or multiple subpleural and out-of-pulmonary fields, patchy shadow, ground glass opacity, grid shadow, and strip shadow. The system will intelligently classify various signs of pneumonia, quantitatively analyze consolidation and ground glass opacity, assist doctors in judging the stage and severity of pneumonia, provide early warning tips for suspicious pneumonia diseases, and finally generate graphic reports according to the latest guideline.

Through AI image algorithm, intelligent diagnosis and quantitative evaluation of CT and DR imaging of COVID-19 are achieved, and the severity of localized lesions, diffuse lesions, and total lung involvement are graded.
Through this AI radiograph reading system, doctors can obtain the possibility of patients having COVID-19 infection, avoid cross infection caused by patients' activities in the hospital, and help prevent and control the epidemic.

On the other hand, in actual treatment, confirmed patients need to undergo an imaging examination every 2-4 days. Previous and later imaging of the patient should be compared to judge the trend of the disease.
The system can quickly diagnose COVID-19, determine the grade and severity of the disease, assist medical institutions to speed up identification of infected persons, and gain time for rapid isolation, diagnosis, and treatment.
PVmed races against the clock to assist overseas territories
Great progress has been made by China in the fight against COVID-19. However, at the same time, the epidemic is still spreading globally -- as of 13:00, March 22 (Beijing time), outside China, 225,835 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in 178 countries and territories.
At present, the detection capacity of most laboratories is less than 250 cases per week, which means that the speed of detection is far behind that of virus transmission.

For countries with escalating epidemic warnings, it is undoubtedly a shortcut to learn from China's epidemic prevention experience.
At present, the overseas version of PVmed's AI Radiograph Reading System has been developed, and cooperation intentions have been reached with hospitals aboard. In the next step, PVmed will race against the clock to assist territories outside China, contributing to the war on the epidemic.
President Xi emphasized that the most powerful weapon for humans to fight against diseases is sci-tech development and innovation.
PVmed’s R&D team will uphold the idea of “agile development & rapid iteration”, so as to offer the most convenient, effective and precise service for radiologists to combat against the global pandemic.
