China Association of Medical Equipment (CAME) is a national first-level association approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and is supervised by the Ministry of Health. CAME is an academic, and non-profit legal entity formed by the national medical equipment practitioners (organizations or individuals engaged in medical equipment application, management, scientific research, education, engineering, production, and marketing) voluntarily and registered by the law. The main responsibility for CAME is to offer technical service for health bureaus in different regions regarding evaluation, selection, and recommendation of medical equipment. It is the party that acts as the bridge between the government and the medical equipment professionals, which plays a crucial role in the development of medical science and medical equipment in China.
