The system is equipped with multiple functions, including data management, image viewing, lesions localization and analyzing, follow up, etc. It has taken advantage of the state-of-art Artificial Intelligence techniques developed by PVmed itself, and structured reports with size, volume, mass, and other critical metrics can be automatically generated from the system, which is also time-saving for radiologists.

 

The sheer volume of medical image data is dramatically growing due to the easy access to the health screening services. A large number of medical images are generated in radiology departments each day, and almost 50% of radiologists are overworked and exhausted according to a survey. By utilizing such a powerful and intelligent tool, it is believed to boost the efficiency of radiologists and ease the workload.

June 29-July 1, 2018, The 9th Chinese National Conference of Nasopharyngeal Cancer was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This conference is hosted by the China Anti-Cancer Association Nasopharyngeal Professional Committee and Sichuan Anti-Cancer Association, and organized by the Cancer Hospital Affiliate to School of Medicine, UESTC·Sichuan Cancer Hospital and the Nasopharyngeal Committee of the Sichuan Anti-Cancer Association. More than 600 experts and scholars from various provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Europe participated in this academic conference to discuss the hot issues in the diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma such as clinical staging, standardized treatment, radio physics and so on. PVmed demonstrated the automatic delineation system for nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy and other AI technologies and products.

Philips released a revolutionary artificial intelligence platform IntelliSpace Discovery 2.0 (ISD2.0). As the only AI partner of the platform, PVmed had attracted great attention from the industry. Its CT/MRI-based automatic delineation system for nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy has been embedded in the ISD platform.
